Abijah S WELTON was born to Samuel B WELTON and Candance "Daisy" WARNER in Conklin, Broome, NY on 13 Sep 1820.

He married first to Sally R MASON, daughter of James MASON and Margaret RANDALL (Allen) (Clark) Mason on 24 Sep 1843 in Medina Co., Ohio (probably in Brunswick, Medina, OH). They had 4 children. Sally died in 1864.

Abijah married to widowed Mary Jane JACOBS Reed on 13 Mar 1865 in Calhoun Co., Michigan. They had 2 more children.

She was the daughter of Samuel JACOBS and Nancy BROWN. She was born in New York (according to family records, she was born in Clarkston, Monroe, NY, but I need to confirm this first). She moved to Michigan with her parents and siblings.

She married twice. She married first to Charles REED on 1 Jan 1852 in Leroy, Calhoun, MI and they had 4 children. Charles served in Tennessee during Civil War as an Union Soldier. He died as a result of a disease in Tennessee and was buried at Nashville National Cemetery.

She remarried on 13 Mar 1865 in Calhoun Co, MI to Abijah S WELTON, who also served in the Civil War. She had two more children by this marriage.

She had 4 children with Charles Reed, and 2 children with Abijah Welton.
