Hiram wood was born on August 12, 1853 in Ovid, Michigan; the first born son of Stephen and Olive (lake) Wood.
Hiram Wood Married Susie Fourt on June 27, 1875 in Bethel, Michigan.
Hiram Wood an old and respected citizen of Coldwater, passed away Sunday morning at 4:30 in the morning August 24, 1913. The end was due to heart failure from which the deceased had suffered for the last week or ten days. The funeral will be held at the house Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 and burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. No flowers are desired.
He was survived by his wife Susie, his son Ora, his brother Fremont, and his sisters Jennie Kanouse and Gladys Douglas.

Mrs. Susie Wood 81, resident of Branch County most of her life, died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the home of her son Ora Wood, who lives three miles north of Coldwater.
Funeral services, which are in charge of the McConkey Funeral Home, will be held at 2 p.m. wednesday at her son's home, with the Rev. William W. Slee, Methodist pastor officiating.
Mrs. Wood was born in Pennsylvania but spent most of her life in this county. The son and his son and his three daughters are surviving family members. Mr. Wood preceded her in death.
