Arnold was married to Jane Amanda Risley in 1845, and they had daughters Mary Elmira, 1847, and Arre Elizabeth, 1851, in Ontario County, NY. They lived in Gilead in 1860. He is buried beside his brother William. Father's name was Benjamin. Jane and Arnold also raised Sophia S., born Michigan.
