Capt. Abraham V. Hunt--he served in the War of 1812. He was drafted into an Infantry Regiment under John Frelinghuysen in N.J. Promoted to Lieut. and placed in charge of troops stationed at Sandy Hook Block House where he did efficient service with his artillery on the British Navy. He also served as Lieut. in 3rd Rgt. Monmouth Brigade under General James Eyecker. Afterwards he was a signal officer on Sandy Hook.
