Andrew J. COSSELMAN was born March 3, 1851, at Oswego, New York, and passed to the great beyond October 8, 1913, having reached the age of 62 years, 7 months and 5 days.

When he was a babe of only one year, he with his parents, brothers and sisters, came to Kalamazoo, and soon after moved to Porter Township, Van Buren County, and when he had reached the age of seven years they moved to the old homestead at Fish Lake, which is now occupied by his sister, Mrs. Emma GOFF. In September 1887, he and his wife and son moved by covered wagon to Independence, Iowa, where were born to them two daughters. Here they lived 17 years, returning to Marcellus in 1904, where they have since resided. He leaves to mourn his departure a loving and dutiful wife; one son, Charles L. of Six Lakes; two daughters, Mrs. W. C. JOHNSON, of Chicago and Gladys at home; two grandchildren, Robert A. COSSELMAN and Rolland JOHNSON. He also leaves three brothers, Levi and Henry of Lawton, and Charles of Marcellus, and three sisters, Mrs. Julia A. CATT of Independence, Iowa, Mrs. Susan WALLING of Schoolcraft and Mrs. Emma GOFF of Marcellus; also a half brother, Joseph COSSELMAN of Lawton and a half-sister, Mrs. Sarah BELKNAP of Chicago.
