Harmon Cemetery is located on Morgan Road and One Eighth of a mile to the right off Waubascon Road. It is about Three Miles from the center of Battle Creek, and is reached by turning right on West Michigan Avenue onto Hubbard Street and continuing North into Waubascon Road.

Tradition has it that the Cemetery was originally called Halladay Cemetery, but when a Halladay girl married an Englishman by the name of Harmon, he changed the name to Harmon's Cemetery. This was undoubtedly due to his interest and care of the Cemetery.

One of the first recorded burials was that of Sarah Halladay, wife of Willliam, who died in 1847, aged 30 Years.

The Cemetery occupies one acre of land and has Township
supervision and care.
