Amos Ogden Woodruff served in the War of 1812 in Capt. James Rightmire's Co., Ohio Militia. In 1850 he was living in Pike, Knox Co., OH. The census shows that his wife's name was Elizabeth. She apparently died during the 1850's. Amos moved to Branch Co., MI. On 24 Nov. 1859 he married Harriet E. Joles. The 1870 census shows them living in Bethel, Branch Co., MI.
